Depart for Ireland on an overnight flight. If you need help with your air travel, call Anne at 201-370-2443.

Sun, Oct 6 - Dublin Arrival & Titanic Belfast

After landing at Dublin Airport, our driver Joe Griffin and I will welcome you to Ireland and take you for a hearty Irish breakfast before traveling to Dunelty to visit the Brehon Brewhouse. Founded by dairy farmer Seamus McMahon in 2014, enjoy a tour of the farm and brewery followed by a tasting of the finished product—remember, it’s five o'clock somewhere!

We’ll continue to Belfast and visit Titanic Belfast, an award-winning exhibition on the story of the Titanic, from her construction in the local shipyard to her tragic end. After dinner in our city-center hotel, I’ll do a special show for you with a full band in the heart of beautiful Belfast.

Mon, Oct 7 - Belfast Sightseeing & Giants Causeway

After breakfast, we set off on a tour of Belfast with a local guide. Then we travel north to visit Giant’s Causeway, a unique area of hexagonal columns formed over 60 million years ago by cooling lava.

Next stop is the historic city of Derry, and after dinner in our hotel, I’ll be doing a special ballad session at one of Derry’s renowned pubs.

Tue, Oct 8 - Derry, Donegal Castle & Hanna Hats

A local guide will take us on a walking tour of Derry to see the Guildhall, the Diamond and the 16th century city walls. Then we drive to Donegal to visit Donegal Castle, which incorporates the gabled tower of a 15th century house built by the O’Donnell family.

A short walk takes us to Hanna Hats which was established in 1924 by the Hanna family. There we’ll have a factory floor demonstration of the hat-making process. This evening, enjoy dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Wed, Oct 9 - Slieve League Cliffs & Weaving Demonstration

Today you’ll experience spectacular scenery as we travel to the Slieve League Sea Cliffs, which at 1,972 feet make them the highest in Europe. The local guide will tell us about the geographical significance of this region over hundreds of years.

Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a cup of tea and freshly baked scones before heading to the village of Ardara for a weaving demonstration and some shopping.

We’ll return to Donegal where the remainder of the day is free for you to ramble and dine independently.

That evening, I’ll do a concert for you all in Donegal town where I’ll be joined by some amazingly talented Donegal musicians.

Itinerary Continued

Thur, Oct 10 - The Quiet Man & My Home Town!

Leaving Donegal, we travel south to the charming village of Cong made famous by the 1952 movie “The Quiet Man” featuring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara. Discover places featured in the movie and see some of the movie memorabilia in the Quiet Man Heritage Cottage.

We’ll continue south to Galway, the City of the Tribes and my hometown!

After an early dinner in our hotel, we head out to Salthill for a special night of traditional Irish music with some of Ireland's finest musicians.

Fri, Oct 11 - Aran Islands & Dun Aengus

This morning, we take a short ferry ride from Rossaveal to Inis Mor, the largest of the three Aran Islands. These rocky islands are renowned for the hardy islanders who maintained traditional fishing and farming lifestyle. The Irish language is still spoken there.

We’ll visit Dun Aengus, a huge prehistoric fortress perched on sheer cliffs. Aran has been a special place for me for over forty years.

My dear friend Gerry Hanberry, renowned author, poet and story teller will join us and I can assure you we’ll have a sing song at Joe Mac’s pub before heading back to Galway where you are free to dine independently in one of the city’s great dinner venues.

Sat, Oct 12 - Galway to Dublin

After breakfast, we will take a walking tour of Galway with my lifelong friend Brian Nolan. He will share stories of my adventures and misadventures growing up in Galway.

We will unveil a Seamus Kelleher plaque on the house where I was raised. I’m not dead yet, but if I don’t do it, nobody else will.

The remainder of the day is free to sightsee, shop and dine on your own. That evening, I’ll do a special full band concert at the Quays Bar in the heart of Galway. A cool venue with a very intimate feel.

Sun, Oct 13 - Free time in Dublin & Temple Bar Concert

Departing Galway, we travel to Dublin, which was founded by the Vikings in the 9th century. After a drive around the city center, you have a choice of visits to enjoy.

At EPIC Ireland learn about how Ireland has changed throughout the years. If you choose to visit Guinness Storehouse, enjoy a tour and tasting of the finished product.

This is our final night, so we will have our farewell dinner followed by another full-band show with some of Dublin’s finest musicians at the Irish Rock and Roll Museum.
